In studio technology, new cable constructions are boiled up to impress the users. Solid conductors are often used as inner conductors, with better surface conduction behavior and a stranding technique for better audio transmission. This is only theoretically correct, since a solid wire has many disadvantages. He is hard and injured even with slight movement isolation. In addition, it has only low elasticity, so that with slight bending the Cu surface is compressed. Tensile forces on the connector pins should not be underestimated either. To solve these problems, Sommer cable has developed the SC-Carbokab 225, with a smoothing conductor made of highly compacted carbon, which is applied directly to the concentrically stranded strands. This has the same electrical advantages as a solid wire, but it remains flexible and guarantees constant, excellent values. The good transmission characteristics of the SC-Carbokab 225 ensure an absolutely linear sound even with long lengths of up to 200 meters. The 100% shielding (AL fleece + Cu braid) is important, because hardly anywhere there are so many interfering signals through peripherals (effects, computers, synthesizers, etc.) as in a professional studio. As isolation we use a special HD-PP, which guarantees lowest capacity. With this cable, you are "state of the art" and save yourself in the future tiresome "esoteric" discussions!
