When the spirits divorce...
then most people also discuss silver-plated audio cables. Technically speaking, this precious metal has the best electrical conductivity of all metals.
As far as the sound impression is concerned, opinions about the sense and nonsense of such cables often differ greatly. We try to bring light into the darkness. These different opinions come from the fact that silver "lives" through natural oxidation. In contrast to copper oxide, silver oxide is conductive, i.e. the electrical and mechanical properties can vary slightly over a longer period of time. This also changes the tone colour, which can lead to different audiophile impressions and some musicians or hi-fi enthusiasts may find the sound of a silver cable to be rather neutral, cool or treble accentuated.
We naturally want to avoid such irritations and discussions and therefore only use tightly concentrically stranded copper strands of class 6N (OFC 99.9999%) for our SC-SILVER SPIRIT, which are refined and smoothed with the highest quality silver alloy (935/1000) so that they also offer lasting performance and can also be processed cleanly and without electrical losses with silver solder.
The SC-SILVER SPIRIT is equipped with the latest gas foamed and smoothed core insulation.
Advantages:
Enormously clear, clean sound image
Permanently neutral transmission, even after frequent use
Flexible and robust outer jacket made of temperature-resistant PVC compound
2-fold shielded by tight braiding and carbon semi-conductor
Other:
ATTENTION: The black carbon shielding under the braided shielding and on the insulation has a high conductance. This should be removed during soldering.
Application:
High-quality guitar/bass/instrument cable for studio and stage
Unbalanced cable for keyboards, samplers, mixing consoles and hi-fi systems
